Designed and hand-built (by Mario) in Canada.

The DBTM™ Patch-Box is a no compromise, dual-buffer and master/tuner-mute interface solution which can be easily added to any pedalboard. It incorporates Axess' 25+ years of experience and knowledge in providing guitarists with consistent 'direct to amp tone and feel' regardless of what is connected between the guitar and amp.

  • Discrete Class-A guitar input buffer
  • Studio grade Op-Amp output line-driver
  • (1) ¼" TS buffered (or TRS passive) thru
  • (1) ¼" TS unbalanced (or TRS balanced up to 330ft./100m) high-headroom line-driver thru
  • 16 user selectable "your tone" filters
  • Input buffer bypass/enable push-button
  • Gold plated, silver contact relay switching
  • Heavy duty Carling P26L style stomp switch
  • I/O for 2CM (2-cable method/mono in and out)

The discrete Class-A input buffer that's included for your guitar has an input impedance and other finely tuned characteristics which mimic that of tube amp inputs. It'll safeguard, strengthen, and prepare your guitar signal for whatever follows on the pedalboard and in the rig.

It presents the guitar with a dynamic and ideal load that remains steadfast - resulting in consistent tone while still allowing the guitar to breathe and feel, as if it were plugged directly into the front of a beloved tube amp.

Select one of the 16 different filters to get either the plugged-in direct to your amp tone, the loaded down by your current pedalboard tone, or choose a filter in between. Whichever you decide on, rest assured that the DBTM will NOT load down your guitar's signal.

The high-headroom output line-driver has superb capacitance and load impedance drive capabilities which means long lengths of cable or daisy-chained passive splitters such as our Compatt/X™ IsoPlus™ or IsoFormer™ series will never be an issue.

For cable runs with greater noise immunity between your pedalboard and back-line amp, use a balanced ¼" TRS cable (up to 330ft. / 100m long) between the DBTM (on the pedalboard) and Compatt/X IsoPlus or IsoFormer RCV™ (immediately in front of the amp).
