An always-on "enhancer" designed to replace a traditional buffer. It sweetens and filters your guitar signal while converting it to low impedance, protecting it from anything that may follow in the rig.
Connect HMBL after your favourite fuzz pedal, plug your guitar directly into its input, or insert it anywhere in your signal path.
Using even one BOSS pedal, some true-bypass pedals, and the associated patch cables, plus the usual longer guitar and amp cables, can make your tone sound and feel dark and sluggish. A buffer can help, but most are simple op-amp-based circuits that also introduce their sonic and technical limitations.
While HMBL can replace a traditional buffer, technically it is not one — it is a finely tuned amplifier with a sweetening circuit and filters that enhance your guitar signal. Use it in place of an input buffer by plugging directly into it. If you use a fuzz pedal, place it after that. It can also be used anywhere else in your signal path, even after the last pedal, to drive the long cable run to the back-line amp. It has an input impedance similar to that of a tube amp and presents a guitar (or a pedal) with a steadfast and ideal load that restores the resonant peak of your guitar pickups.
Studio-grade components are used throughout, such as genuine Neutrik and Switchcraft jacks and WIMA film capacitors.
