UNZ1™ Fuzz Un-Buffer

The UNZ1™ Un-Buffer allows germanium fuzz pedals and other impedance sensitive effects to play and sound right when used in the signal path after a buffer, loop switcher, wireless system, other pedals, or guitar / bass with active pickups.

Guitars and analog pedals have a dynamic and interdependent relationship. When they are connected together, the signal that passes between them, and what is produced, is a result of the unique characteristics of the two (connected) devices. So, you cannot substitute either device and expect the same results, but the UNZ1™ can get you very close! It will make your germanium fuzz or other impedance sensitive pedal think that it has a guitar connected directly to its input.

• Power Requirements: 9VDC & 100mA via a 2.1 x 5.5mm barrel plug with a negative centre pin (like Boss pedals). Adapter is not included.

This is probably the most important piece of gear I own. So y’all know by now that many fuzzes do not like buffers before them. This can affect where you choose to place your fuzz in your chain. The UNZ1 makes your fuzz pedal think a guitar is connected to it so that your fuzz isn’t affected by buffers, active pickups, or other pedals. It’s super essential for any pedalboard nerd.
