The UNZ1™ Un-Buffer allows Ge|germanium fuzz pedals and other impedance sensitive effects to play and sound right when used in the signal path after, or with, a buffer, re-ordering loop switcher, wireless system, other pedals, or an active pickup equipped guitar or bass.

Analog effect pedals and guitars have a dynamic and interdependent relationship. When two devices are connected together, the signal that passes between them, and what is produced, is a unique result of the characteristics of those two devices. So, you cannot substitute either device and expect the exact same results, but you can get quite close! The UNZ1™ will get you there by making your Ge| germanium fuzz or other impedance sensitive effect think it has a guitar connected directly to its input.

This is probably the most important piece of gear I own. So y’all know by now that many fuzzes do not like buffers before them. This can affect where you choose to place your fuzz in your chain. The UNZ1 makes your fuzz pedal think a guitar is connected to it so that your fuzz isn’t affected by buffers, active pickups, or other pedals. It’s super essential for any pedalboard nerd.
